Looks like the Tasman Salt and a Manix 2 LW ( @Dirt n Dust will need to fill in the blanks re which steel and grinds... ) L'chaim! Moshe ben David
USPS finally decided to deliver my Spyderco Lil' Native after giving it a 3 day tour of Milwaukee area postal system before departing to the North. Great little secondary! Even though its a tiny little fellow I can still manage 4 fingers with my 2XL glove sized mitt!
Congratulations with your new Lil'Native. Seeing Spyderco do dealer exclusives of it gives me some hope that they'll do sprint runs also. A rex 45 Lil'Native would be awesome. But I wouldn't mind a maxamet version either
It doesn't have a flipper tab no, it can easily be flicked open though via the "spydie" flick or by just compressing the bearing lock down and swinging the blade. The bearing inside the lock usually makes them pretty smooth.
These are all great knives, but I can't get over how light the Salt knives are. The Tasman & Pacific both practically disappear in my pocket. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
My wife would murder me but I've been known to touch up my ancient RIT dye job when she does her roots. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk
In 1996, I purchased my first Spyderco, an Endura SE. It was my work knife for about a year until I dropped it in the garage, breaking the tip of the blade on the concrete floor. It was relegated to tool box duty and eventually it grew legs and disappeared. Fast forward to this past weekend, my wife was re-organizing her china cabinet and finds the Endura in one of the drawers. Puzzled, she asked me if I knew where it came from. I immediately took ownership of my lost lost friend. I used a dremel to re-profile the tip of the blade and took it today to a knife sharpening company near my home. 5 minutes and $5 later, I have my new EDC knife for the next couple of weeks.
I'd love to get another Spyderco. I'm so enjoying my one and only Spyderco, the Vrango. So beautifully made. The machining tolerances are excellent. My small & mid sized kitchen knives aren't getting much use because I keep deploying the Vrango. I'm thinking if I can locate a lightly used Slysz Bowie...
