Family picture of my true Spyderco knives (I consider my Byrd Meadowlark not to be a 'true' Spyderco)

Thanks! It's a Hapstone Pro from Grindomatic. It's a solid , fantastic tool. Some have a problem with it being a bit of an Edge Pro clone; but they made a few key improvements that sold me on it.

That's interesting, first I've seen of it. Personally it doesn't bother me one bit and I'm a big Edge Pro fan. I think it was inevitable that someone would improve on the design, and it's been long enough that EP could have been updated and improved upon.

For me personally Sage 5 became an instant favorite. The compressionock on this one is the smoothest one I own and it's extremely easy to both open and close the blade. I like compressionlocks but I'm not religious about them. What I don't like is the risk of getting your skin pinched if you don't place your hand exactly right when opening the knife. Less risk here than on the PM2 though.

The carbonfiberlaminate on this one feel a touch more coarse than say on the number one which gives a little bit better grip. Having the lock at the back in my opinion gives a big advantage - the choil is more comfortable without a cutout for a liner or a framlock. The grip becomes slightly more "meaty" there.

But of course it's minor differences and as intentioned the lock is the big difference. The positive - you can't go wrong! :)

I've waited a long time for these two and to say they haven't let me down would be an understatement, I'm so impressed with the quality

Slysz Bowie. I wanted one for ages and ended up getting the Techno and Bowie on the same day. These are both very high quality pieces.
