Like the Gingerninja said, it is indeed the "Centofante" Memory (sorry GN, I'm a horrible speller too:oops:)

gingerninja and farnorthdan: ahh. Now I get it. Just didn't make the connection. Too bad it is a discontinued product. OTOH, I'd probably not buy one -- budget contraints!

Well guys, due to some fortuitous circumstances, I got lucky today. It's just spectacular. Yes, it had some lock stick, and with 3 cotton swabs, one with a touch of alcohol, it was almost all gone in about 45 seconds. Then a little pencil, and it's perfectly smooth. No muss, no fuss.
I bought this knife at Mark's Outdoors in Vestavia Hills, AL, where I saw the example pictured above(which may actually be the same one; I'm not sure). If you're anywhere near Birmingham, AL and you want a knife, these guys have it or can get it and they're knife knuts as well. Don't hesitate to call them either, they can probably help you out. They held this thing for me so I could be sure if/how I was going to get it. And as a Spyderco collector, I felt like I couldn't let it get away. Plus it's just so, so good.

dplafoll Congrats on your new knife! When I was in Birmingham for the USWNT game last year I specifically had planned to go by Mark's Outdoors. Was really looking forward to it, as well as my friend who met me for the game from Georgia. Unfortunately it was a Sunday and they weren't open. I was very bummed and so was she. Had a few knives I wanted to see/feel in person (BM 940, Spyderco PM2, etc).

Nooooo that sucks I'm sorry man. Yeah it's a small business in Alabama so they close on Sunday like so many others. I hope next time you're in the area it's on a different day and you can stop in.

Also I was at that game; at the time I was working for Papa John's so I was working concessions.

Re-profiled my 52100 Military last night, did end up having to use one of my diamond plates to apex, 52100 was a little harder than I thought it would be, felt like M4. Did manage to get a hair popping edge though, really liking 52100 so far.

I'm not much of a knife nut, but I've wanted a Delica ever since first I first saw one. Finally decided to pull the trigger, a smurf blue FFG :D

Hooray! Congrats. The Delica is a classic, and a fantastic knife. I love mine and I'm sure you'll love yours. If this is your first Spyderco, you've just hopped straight into the rabbit hole.

You don't have to look very far in this thread to get a sense of it. If nothing else, 150 pages in "Part 2" is a hint. :p

So what's the next one? I'm thinking Para Military 2 for something bigger, Dragonfly 2 for something smaller, or Mantra 1 for something similar but fancier. :D

NEXT?!!?! I've had my first for like an hour :p

My next Spydie will have to wait for some time.. But it'll be smaller, I can't carry the Delica in public because it's basically illegal to carry anything with a cutting edge. I avoid using pocket clips for that reason and even a Dragonfly would be pushing my luck if found on person. Small keychain utility blades tend to go under the radar, so I would love a Manbug.

I like it much more than the Dragonfly, but of course, that's just my point of view.

Admittedly I am color blind. But aren't the smurfs purple critters?

Now I know where at least one of my blue Delica's littermates ended up!

Hate to be the first to point this out, but you're only partially there. Dragonfly H1 comes in SE in yellow handles! You REALLY need one with an SE!

And a bunch of other handle materials and colors.

Yes my friend, the journey has just begun!
