Found this while doing my initial machine inspection for the day. Happened to have one on me as well.
This is at my local store, and I'm glad they're here.
my first spydie i do wish i had went with a PM2 but its still a good knife. manix 2 with sabre grind and CF scales from gator scales. from what i was told anyway.
"Larger than Life"
A knife that no doubt is bigger than it's size suggests!
Went to my first Blade Show this year. I can't say enough good things about Sal, Eric, Michael, and the whole Spyderco crew. Super friendly and classy, and I really enjoyed every minute at the booth.
I didn't buy any knives and I didn't get a whole lot of stuff, but what I did get, I will enjoy for a long time.
DF in HAP40 modified to slip and therefore be legal to carry in the UK
Did you put in some sort of actual slipjoint mechanism or is it basically a friction folder?
My go-to work knife
Actually not my knife. But handled it before I passed it on
My newest edition to my collection!

All that is needed is to file down a small part of the blade. The back lock mechanism still works to keep the blade open and closed but when a decent amount of pressure is applied to the blade when open it slips and closes. It is still perfectly secure when open but does not 'lock'
Huh. Very cool man. I love mine and I'm glad you were able to make yours legal for you to carry.
I would be broke and living on the streets if that was a local store for me......I would buy and buy till I couldn't buy no more.
Ha! Me too, except I'm married and while my wife supports my hobby, carries a Cricket, and went with me to Blade Show, she's also not going to let me break the bank on knives.
Yeah mine either she has a fit if I spend money on anything anymore
