This is one of my all time faves...may have to get rid of it though.
Yo Evil D
One day, I gotta try one of these...what's the handle material?
I always wished the original Kiwi had a clip.
Be safe bro!
It's the factory G10 but I polished and contoured it. It's a fantastic knife in love it.
VERY nice...Happy Holidays!
One of my other faves...
I think I might copy that idea, thanks. The pins/screws also look contoured did you do them too?
The pins get rounded down depending on how far you contour the G10. Just be careful not to remove too much of the pin head or it might pop out.
I was only really thinking of removing the scales and rounding the edges a bit with wet sandpaper. What did you use? Looks like you left the scales on too...
No longer needed guys. He found some screws that fit already. I'd post the size here for future reference in case anyone else needs it, but the size he gave through to me doesn't sound right so I think he made a mistake calculating to metric
Thanks for the help though gentleman!
Well with it being pinned you can't really remove the scales unless you have the knowhow and tools to replace the pins. I used a Dremel to shape them and then sandpaper up to 3k to polish. It could still use a buffing to really bring it to a polish but it looks nice enough for EDC.
here's my spydercos and one of their friends
Evil D … that Kiwi 4 looks awesome … I may be picking one up to do the same - the "boxy" look and feel of the stock scales aren't that appealing to me - this makes it a whole 'nother knife … great job!
Kind of looks like they went to make a Kahr Arms from a Delica and cut too much off.
