I'm still on my search for for a Spyderco C65P, but I did buy a serrated one a couple weeks ago. In a previous thread I said I'd share pictures, so here goes.

This little beauty is from the original owner, Spyderco collector #187.

Congrats on the knife, that design is a real beauty. Good luck on the search for a PE version, you've got a lot of company. ;)

Thanks jujigatame. I'll keep looking and hope to find one that is as nice as this one with a PE.

You'd think Spyderco would pick up on that and reissue the thing.

I would LOVE to see that knife reissued in a Compression Lock redesign! I'd buy TWO!

Kinda creepy with that "187" being the police code (at least, in legend) for a homicide... :bolt:

They have reissued it with a PE in ZDP 189 blade steel with black Almite handles. Still has the liner lock. There is a sprint run that is trickling out to retailers right now.

I knew that about "187" but it didn't dawn on me until you mentioned it. Having the letter the original owner got from Spyderco when he received the knife colored my perception. That's the image that stuck with me, Spyderco Collector #187, not PC 187.
