Anyone here ever use a spray-on masking film for masking off areas of an object you don't want spray painted?

There's apparently a "Masking Liquid H2O Spray" (latex) that sounds ideal, but I can't find it anywhere. What I did find was some Plasti-Dip "Spray On Electrical Tape" in clear that might work, I'm just not sure how easily it peels off.

    Any experiences?

I like that Spray-Tool thingy. Wonder if the "PowerPack" can be replaced with generic aero-duster cans from the hardware store. I may have to try one and find out.

The mask from GCC sounds like the right product, but the smallest size they sell is a gallon. It would take me into the next lifetime to use up a gallon.

Still, using the Spray-Tool, I might be able to find a quart of the Masking Liquid H2O I mentioned in the OP.

    Thanks!

Yep, Amozoon is usually my starting point (I'm paying for Prime, might as well make use of it). I'm not proud, I'll go through evilBay or wherever to save a few bucks. That first one you linked to... that's the one I was trying to find in spray form. The company announced 2 years ago that it was available in spray form, still can't find it anywhere. The inexpensive spray gun that you pointed out would make buying the liquid a reasonable choice.

By the by, I learned something new yesterday... In the art-world, liquid paint mask is referred to as "frisket".

Now I have too learned something new too. Thanks. Yes I do evilBay too for better deals or Aliexpress just have to wait a long time for shipping.

This might be what you are looking for.

I went ahead and ordered a can of the clear "Spray-on Electrical Tape" (Plasti-Dip). Figured I needed to, at least, try it.

I'll report back later on how well it works (or not) as a mask.

Woops, I didn't see your link before. Yes, that's what I was looking for, but there's a minimum order of 6 from that site.:(

    Thanks!

I am interested how the "Spray-on Electrical Tape" works out.
