I don't carry, but I did see some nice 'aircraft alloy' Spork/knife combos in a camping shop yesterday. Sure; not as tough as Ti, but felt really nice. Like the look of the Light My Fire sporks. I'd quite like a Knork.......
LMF Spork for me. Had a bike crash a few weeks ago and the only thing in my bag that broke was my LMF spork, right in the middle, now it's just a short spoon and fork, separate from one another. I'll buy another one though, for the 2-3 dollar price, you just can't go wrong.
Heck, the kids love there LMF sporks, its what they use for everyday at the table, they get to have there own color, so each one can be unique! and the little guy some times cant make up his mind what he wants to use, so he just flips it around, rather then get up from the table and get the other, and the wife likes that, cause, its one less thing to clean! Ive been thinking to for the titanium one, but, how sharp is it to eat with on the fork side with there being a knife? i must have about 6-8 of the plastic ones, i got the 4 pack for camping, that was perfect, since there's 4 of us, and well double use (well triple) if you count the knife, kinda hard to use unless you hold your food with your hand, but hey it works,,, JR
The titanium one is safer than the plastic one. The Titanium LMF spork has less prominent serrations for the knife edge on the fork side so there is very little chance of snagging your mouth on it, but because the fork prongs are thinner, it actually cuts food better. The plastic version has deeper serations which I find more dangerous (but its safe if you're not speed eating).
I found a four pack in Bass Pro Shop, made really cool stocking stuffers at Christmas. I carry one in the organizer attached to my Kifaru Express everywhere I go. Before I found the Light My Fire sporks, I used to carry a really sturdy plastic set of chopsticks.
countycomm now has a titanium LMF spork, right around the price of the other titanium models I've seen
I have two of the Light My Fire sporks, and aren't impressed at all by them. Having the spoon as the fork-handle is annoying. Having the fork as the spoon-handle is just dumb. I broke one easily by putting a pan on top of it (fork tines broke off). Fancy unbreakable plastic, it is not.
