When i was studying at university quite a few years back i had a fellow student from the ukraine who had these awesome felt boots to use during winter months called 'valenki'. I spoke with him a little bit about them and they were quite cheap compared to what stuff costs in europe (iirc they were abouts 20-30 euro's a pair at most) and incredibly warm and comfy. Now recently i have been on the lookout online to buy a pair for myself but the prices i have found are around double that! This got me wondering, is this just a case of interwebs tourist-pricing or is it actual inflation and do they seriously cost that much nowadays? So the big question is; Do we have any members here that live near or in russia that can shine some light on this? I would really like to get me a pair of these and if they actually cost 50-60 euros then ill just have to pay up i guess but im hoping to get em a bit cheaper than that. Just to be clear, im looking for the one-piece grey/brown-ish sheep(?) felt boots. Id love to hear from someone 'in the know'
