    Hi,

I'm currently looking for a waistpack with multiple pockets, something like Sabercat. As i'm small sized at 5"1, the Sabercat will look HUGE on me. So I'm looking for a smaller pouch but with multiple pockets.
I usually carry with me the Leatherman Charge, Garmin Oregon(if I travel), a basic first aid kit, at least 2 AA flashlights, my Fuji X10 camera, wallet, Samsung Galaxy S2 phone. It would be perfect if the Sabercat size is a bit small.
Guess my next option would be the Maxpedition Proteus. Any other recommendations? TIA.

I don't use it everyday but its amazingly versatile for various jobs I'm employed for

Its bigger than a "regular" bum bag/fanny pack but I needed the extra pockets and space for tools and containers of driver bits :)

It doesn't sound like you are looking to carry a ton what about the Maxpedtion Octa? I've seen several people around here rave about it.

The MaxP website says the Sabercat is a scaled up version of the Proteus. So the Proteus may fill your bill nicely. Condor has a three pocket waist pack that might work for you too. I'm tempted to say Versipack but you've probably already gone there.

Which is just a rip off of the Maxpedition Proteus.

    +1

They are nice little packs and not as rough and stiff as the Maxped stuff. As to who ripped off whom, I don't see the relevance of the question.

Thanks for the replies guys.... guess I will be getting the Proteus while still hoping for Maxpedition to come out with a mini/smaller version of sabercat. :).
