I would suggest the Peak Logan QTC (either in 17500 or CR123A size) in stainless steel :D

The advantage of the 17500 tube is that you can use an CR123A with an adapter, but (if needed) can take the adapter out and run it on an AA cell (at lower output).

Understand your point, but not so much a case of "offending" others; but if, as OP suggests, he's moving into a position of greater responsibility in a "professional" capacity, the reality is — if you're gonna work in that arena — have to conduct yourself appropriately. What you "carry" is an extension of how you dress and conduct yourself. All part of the image he's trying to project.

Now, on the weekends, anything goes!

I teach Social Studies. I'm sure that I will offend enough people by simply teaching that the Constitution is a living document which still applies today, not a pretty piece of paper. Anything I can do to not look like the 2nd Amendment nutjob I am is worth it.

Just make sure to have your AR slung over your shoulder when you bring out your new PC light.

    That will teach them.

I don't keep my knife clipped on my pocket when I teach, but everyone loves my lights. No one minds the multi-tool on my belt, either.

How about some of the smaller lights such as the quantum d2. Isn't over 150lm but very small and certainly one of the classier lights ever built IMHO. Also the new maratac aaa rev 3 just came out. I would expect the stainless version to be out soon. These options are about 100 for both combined.

I like the Maratac. I wish there was someone other than CC to order it from. I've had bad luck on shipping from them...

the xeno cube is elegant, non-tactical, and has several brightness settings. downside is the body is made from a single steel billet hollowed out to hold the flashlight guts and battery compartment, so it is very heavy.

the FourSevens preon penlight might work. non tactical, 150+ lumens, but it runs on two AAAs.

My vote is for the jetbeam E3. I use it at work, and I get alot of compliments that it's a classy looking light.

I work in an industrial plant, so they're much more OK with things like knives and guns, so my experience might not carry over to your business job. even so, it's a sweet flashlight.

Ordered the Stainless Rev 3 Maratac AA. Looks like a great light for the money. I ran across the Fenix LD01 SS which while dimmer I would LOVE, but I can't find it for a reasonable price since it was a 2011 limited run. ~$70 shipped is too much when I can get the black one for $35. I loved the LD01 that I had until it was stolen though, so if the Maratac isn't perfect I'll probably use that as an excuse ot get the SS LD01

I got the SS LD01 last year and it rides on one keychain all the time.
It was too much money but is pretty slick for sure and it wasn't as much as the one you found either.

I would snag a Maratac but I have sworn never to send Countycomm money again!
I had one and lost it camping and the LD01 is what replaced it!

I received the stainless Rev 3 Meratac AA today. Classy light, and the GID O ring is just too cool!
