I live in fl, so it doesn't really get that cold down here.
I want to know what kind of socks do you guys recommend for EDC.
I want to keep a pair in my bag (just in case). Besides my feet do sweat a lot anyways.

Just something I was thinking about.

I'd keep away from synthetics mostly - high cotton percentage or bamboo is good :)

I haven't tried bamboo fabric yet, is it comfortable? As for what socks to put in your bag. Go with whatever you normally wear, in a Ziploc bag with all the air squeezed out. Personally I wear cotton athletic socks all the time. Black at work and white at home.

the best socks I have ever had and the only socks I've been wearing for some time now are called DARN TOUGH. many colors and styles to choose.
merino wool that is cool in summer and warm in winter. keeps your feet as dry as can be. the summers here in new jersey get to 90 degrees plus
and I wear them and boots daily. very comfy. all this and a life time replacement warranty. You can't wear them out.

I have bought none other than the 5.11 socks for years. They are very durable, wash clean easily and don't fall. I think I have worn out the soles in 2 pair in 4 years. They are mostly synthetic, but I have not had the problems with them that normal synthetics give me. Warm in winter, cool in summer. (Also available in Tac Lite)

I live in Fla too. I found some thin socks at TJ Maxx. Made by Fila. The toes and heel are reinforced the rest of the sock is super thin, almost see through. Bought a 3 pack, going to get some more.

I have a big box in the closet full of all my old cotton socks. I switched to Smartwool and my feet could not be happier - summer or winter.

Ack! No cotton! Cotton is rotten.

Any sock made of 100% Merino wool is at the top of my list. After that, I have a variety of tech socks that I wear pretty regularly. I try to avoid cotton in my tech socks too. Not relevant to the OP, but in cold weather I wear the Omni-Wool Multi Sport Hiker Fine Merino Wool socks from Sam's Club. They're only $14.88 for three pair! Typically, Merino wool socks are that much for a single pair.

I have a box full of these thin nike socks, black. The whole family wears them. They're also made by other brands, have two pairs from hugo boss, but it's only the name and not another model.

I'm allergic to wool, so have to avoid all those options sadly.

My experience of Bamboo has been great though - warm, soft and hard wearing.

If you look close in the Men's dept, Dockers true Crew Bamboo Soft Touch are avaiable. Just started wearing them, holding up fine.
