The female part of the buckle is left on the bag. It's flush, so it's out of the way, but the flap/map cover does a good job of hiding all the various stuff hung on the front of the bag FWIW.
Thanks; I really like some of the new eggroll Maxped designs. Right: PALS webbing, egroll; thanks for clarifying this term usage. There is no perfect bag. My ideal would be like a messenger, PALS (optional), zip-top (with water-proofed zip perhaps, or fabric cover). Water-tight, lightweight; hold a small/medium laptop and camera/lenses with room for a bundled rain jacket (maybe a Patagonia rainshell or similar). A little room for a day's worth of food. Key thing is a small laptop (think MacBook) and some stuff. No one, I mean no one, makes this. Weird.
eggroll: Do you know if there are going to be any left-handed versions coming out so the buckle would be in front if worn on the right?
Hang on for just a littel bit. By this time next week I hope to be posting photos of how to correct this little 'error'.
I've got one in foilage green due in next week along with 2 4" sheaths, a mini roly-poly and a volta case. The sheaths will go one on either end, SAK in one, Surefire in the other. MRP & volta will go on the PALS front, mrp as a water bottle carrier & volta as a phone carrier. That way my 4 most needed items are immediately accessible w/o digging thru the bag. Looking forward to trying it out.
I got mine a couple of days ago. Love it so far.I'm using some velcro pouches from an eagle AIII medical pack and a monkey admin pouch. It really is a great bag.My only druthers are a carrying handle and maybe moving the belt tunnel to the top of the bag.The size is almost perfect.many thanks to Eggroll for designing such an amazing piece of gear. :highfive:
aaaaugh my local dealer does'nt have this bag in yet...the wait is killing me :brickwall: i think this bag is going to blow away the Maxped Jumbo bag sales...............
heheheh I have 2 in my Truck, but they are MINE MINE MINE :lolhammer: These were my post production samplles ;D
