I have to put my vote in on the shock xl GA-100. I think it has to do with large face and a big wrist.

Coolest in my book is absolutely the Riseman MISG or the G9300 MISG. I'm not typically one for digitals, but I couldn't pass on a riseman, it's my only digital.

Coolio, what is the trick to getting such great pics? My watch pics either are too dark, too much glare, reflections of the camera, etc. Just mediocre all around.

Thanks! I'm just an amateur but improving over time.

    I guess 5 things:

    1. A decent camera w/ macro and at least some manual control. I have a Canon 30D DSLR w/ Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro but my 3rd pic was just my Canon SD1000 point-n-shoot in macro mode.
    2. Learn the exposure settings on the camera (shutter speed, aperture, ISO). Google is your friend.
    3. Decent lighting. I use a 24" pop-up photo tent (this is great to minimize glare) and 2-3 architect-style desk lamps w/ OttLight CFL bulbs. Google on how to use a tent and lighting for still life.
    4. Post-processing. I use Photoshop but PS Elements works well too and there is decent free software too like Picasa & Gimp. Here you can adjust the exposure, white balance, sharpness, composition, etc.
    5. Take lots of pics. Your bound to get a keeper. Take them at various exposure settings and angles. Review your pics and retake if needed when you see something you don't like (reflections, glare, etc.). Delete the bad ones.

Just remember that good pictures won't come overnight. As with anything, practice, practice, practice. I've been dabbling for about 6 years now and still have much to learn.

So basically it is an investment in passion, time and equipment. Just a little in each goes a long way.

I have a VERY similar model GW-300. (Most popular watch here at work.) I use it on my Outside Days. Too bad they don't make it anymore. Mine is about 8 Years old. only had to replace the band.

    Mine's a green jelly DW-9000 G-Lide, bought around 2001. Needs a new battery, though.

Here's a picture of someone else's (mine's not so pristine as it was my EDC watch until about 3 years ago).
