Starting to eyeball some bags...I'm looking at packs like the CB Hawg, 5.11 Rush 12, Dragon egg, etc.... Anything else like that I should take a look at?
I love my HAWG. But as others have said, we need a budget to give a better option. I'd go for a Dragon Egg myself if I really needed a new pack. That or an LA Ploce Gear 3 Day pack.
I just received a Vertx Gamut Plus for Christmas. Honestly, I am loving this pack. I recently took it with me on two separate short duration tours (72 hours). Definitely worth a look.
+1! I'm actually waiting for my Cannae Legion to arrive. For a more civilian look I'd recommend looking at Osprey bags. I've used an Osprey Quantum for the last few years, but I think its discontinued now.
Yeah the cannae legion looks sweet especially for the price, as long as 21L gets it done for you. I would keep that in mind. For me if I'm carrying significantly less than a say, 25l pack will hold, I just carry a Messenger. Ymmv of course!
I have looked at that one for a while now. Does it have any internal features (e.g. admin pocket, laptop pocket, etc.)? I haven't seen many reviews or pictures on that pack.
Not really any interior organization, there are loop fields in the front compartment and in the main bag. I believe they were intended for a universal holster to conceal carry, I bought a condor pack insert set that has the hook pouches/panels and used those for organization. No place for a computer, unless you wanted to use the hydration pocket.
I'm looking into the Cannae Legion too for my next bag. Looks great and the price tag is marvelous. Still can't pull a trigger though. haha
I would look at the dragon egg mk2 or the ghost both from direct action Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There should be a new pack sticky thread. Not one due to be released but upcoming released actual packs. Name brand ,specs and picture, then anyone who buys and reviews said pack can pop a link into each section. Maybe NEW PACKS Few limited subs Top loading Clamshell Trizip Etc This would also prevent repeat questions and make finding a link to help others a lot easier.
