Just ordered the black version, can't wait to get it! On a side note, is there any good cartridges that are waterproof that work for this pen?

Just wondering, has anyone tried a Zebra refill in these pens?

Nice pen, wish i knew about them before i bought the Mil-tac. big dif in price thats for sure, the Schrade looks just like it. but heres a question,,, does the the cap on the S & W stay on when writting? it looks due to the tip having the little notch at the end might have something in the cap to hold it??? thats the only thing i hate about the Mil-tac,,, JR

Got one last week bright blue, very sturdy, writes well and the top stays on when writing. @ 29.95 from www.crocblades.com. Tactical coolness without the tactical price.

I think I'm going to have to order the black S&W for a friend, and might get a pink schrade and another black s&w for a backup for myself... everyone loves this pen!

A Schrade arrived for me. Put in a medium point blue fisher refill 'cause I like them. You need the plastic adapter to fit the pen body properly. Writes better, nice heft in hand for writing and quite sturdy.

A T6 driver, some 400 grit wet/dry sand paper and about 15 minutes sterilized the clip into brushed stainlessness. You can still make out Schrade with the right angle of lighting but it's hard to see. I'll work it a bit more later to fix that.

I find the schrade writes fine as it is, even on RITR paper. My only complaint so far is the paint on it is very cheap, and after a weekend in my pocket, has started to scratch and dent already. Not a big deal, but still. Still a great pen though :)

Just ordered two from EDC Depot, with the July 4th coupon it was $48 shipped. Can't beat that.

I would assume painted because after carrying it for a week in the same pocket as my flashlight and keys, it is scuffing off real bad.

Even "hard" anodizing will wear off relatively easily. "Hard" anodizing is way way overrated and over-represented today.

most any coating will wear when tumbled around in a pocket with other metal objects
check out the pics of pocket dumps, lots shiny spots on gear. wear gives gear "character"

I've had my Schrade Tac Pen since the Wednesday following Father's Day and have been using it as my EDC pen ever since. Last week I noticed a rattling while taking notes in class. Upon further inspection I discovered that the ink cartridge kinda wiggles around as bit. Anyone else having this issue?
