How about just a ferro rod. I'm not sure where you get them, but I've seen just the rods before. Maybe Metro knows...he has a little one for one of hie LM mods.
I was the same way! Though I started out with my SP and did wear it daily...of course-got the slick L-shield compliments of Eric (the man ) and now I use the SP on the sling strap of my cheapbay pack...but the L-shield(s) are on my side no matter what-sometimes even sleep with them on! I kid you not-that comfortable. Like for those times when I just fall into bed right when I arrive at home. but yeah-the L-shields are where it's at wearabilitywise. I'm pretty sure the "navy" keychain strikers would fit in the penta front-obviously will fit in the side pockets if you put the lanyard in the main pocket...or you coulda asked for it closed
Do you find yourself mostly carrying the piranha or pocketwrench? I like the little keychain ones too-I know you carry your custom ti bar on the key setup
ahhh the Prying Game.... That thing definitely has some leverage. Also-it seems beefier than the pocketwrench...
yeah, right when I met up with misterS the first thing I did after looking at his gear was snatch up the piranha and fit it in the frong pocket of the burgundy L-shield . I also was surprised to see that it was a snug fit-but could fit that along with the bit kit, which of course had to be in the main pocket with the Wave. Crazy how much you can fit in those little guys.
What's your carry method-probably the most important thing-by hand, attached to a bag, on a belt..planning on adding more? etc. The command post would probably allow you to have your MT space free-tried a moleskine volant in my SP in the main pocket with the phone or MT as a different combo-but that was too small. Since the CP has the back pocket specifically for the notebook, that would work. The only problem is that youd need either front straps for the light or request custom enlarged side pockets for the large light. You could request the same for the P3mt-2 large spaced straps, which means the last one would only be big enough for a pen probably... Jotter will fit. If you want extra space-Trailblazer or Catch All. I think AK has the bases covered
i been rockin my new mondo skinth at work this week and its doing me a fine job. its rides on my belt so well i dont even know its there, but take it off and its really quite heavy. when im off work and just edcing my gear i have a peak el capatan i keep next to my multitool, at work i use a bigger light in a sheath next to the skinth. so my loadout is a lm surge, with a extension drive and a saw blade, two bit cards, pocket pen, mini pry bar, small screwdrivers, peak flashlight, and work id all i can say is i knew this was going to be a great sheath, but i had no idea how great. thanks eric
Lookie what arrived today!!!!! More pics of the loadout after I warm up a bit. We've got 2+ feet of snow on the ground. . . and it's COLD. Okay, loaded and ready to go! Pen in one end and brass HF flashlight in the closed end. . . Oh yes, Burts Bees lip stuff underneath! Opened up . . . Samsung Galaxy Note 2!!!! Moleskine Mini Volant Ti Toothpick and holder Measuring tape and the guts all set out for everyone to see! and, I forgot to mention earlier the screen wipes that fit in right behind the Volant! This is the perfect Note 2 Skinth! Thank you Eric!!!!
Took the words out of my mouth! Just spent 10 minutes searching for a comparison on the dimensions. If it fits the note 2, it will fit the S3. But "which skinth is it?"
I think it might have been a custom. Hopefully there is enough interest for us big phone boys and it will be production.
This will be better answered by Eric, but I think it is the milky way... An s3 is smaller than the note 2 so I think it would be fine. Sent from my SPH-L900
It's a MilkyWay with a 1" extension on the flap for the added Note 2 height. I don't know how you guys do the huge phone thing hah.
