i can't recommend this bag highly enough. it isn't my edc (i use a max falcon), but has become my weekend excursion bag. the organization is outstanding, and the strap is so comfortable i often forget i'm wearing it. i have other sling bags, but none match this for ease of use. it is the right size not to overload. thanks for the review!

I bought a Sitka in Khaki/Foliage after reading this review. It is 100% WIN, and is now my daily EDC. Thanks for writing this...

I would like one of these, but I think it would look silly on a 'larger gentleman'..........The Kodiak may just be TOO much (around the same dimensions ar the 5.11 RUSH 24????)

What are you considering large? I'm 6'3 and about 295 and am considering the Sitka but have the same reservation.

I'm the same weight but 3" shorter. I found the Sitka to be too small (torso-wise) and didn't ride right on my back. Got a Kodiak and it fits perfect. As with all Maxpedition products, they are ALL smaller in person than they appear in pics. I do not consider the Kodiak overly large. Pack lightly and use the compression straps.

I'm six feet tall and built like a retired football player, so the Sitka is smaller when I'm carrying it on my back, but it is still the "right size" from an EDC perspective. It also fits nicely sitting on top of my rolling suitcase. YMMV.

I have a Malaga and had a problem with the size of it not fitting around my "retired football player" build too. I just added a Janus extension and have plenty of room now. It is definitely worth the extra money but I wish that Maxped would understand that everybody buying their stuff dont shop at Ambercrombie.

Just thought I'd add that the Sitka fits my frame, again 6'3 295, very well without the need for the Janus extension. That doesn't mean that I don't want one though.

I love my Sitka, but with out the extra strap and a fairly large load it starts to KILL my shoulders.

I took my Sitka out for an extended test and while I like the bag it became uncomfortable after a short while. I would hate to ditch this bag so soon. Does anyone have tips on making this think more comfortable?
