I was pretty sure this had been done before by some of the modders here, as it's such a logical and straightforward way to finish up with by following the Mini-Surge mod. I am currently collecting bits for my own Mini-Surge mod, Wingman scissors being one of them.

This left me with a scissor-less Wingman, and since I am OCD and also cannot stand Wingman pliers I decided to create a 'mini-tool folder' in a single Wingman handle.

What made this mod easier was the fact the top (pliers-end) and bottom (tools-end) pivot sizes on Wingman are the same size, allowing me to install the tools from a bottom of one handle into the top of the other, basically combining the Wingman's tool load into a single handle. To top it all off, I also added scissors from the Wave.

The result was quite surprising to me as it required very little modding while creating almost a perfect small 'MT-folder' as an end result.

The top tools fit snugly into the handle and the Wave scissors fold in perfectly. The only rule of thumb is to fold the bottom tools into the handle first, and top tools second, on top of the bottom tools. This is required as there's simply not enough space for the tools to fold independently inside the main handle cavity due to their length.

    Few details:
    - I used a Wingman handle housing a 420HC combo blade
    - Bottom tools in that handle were left untouched
    - Internal pliers stop strip had to be removed by breaking a rivet, to allow the installation of the tools at the top of the handle. This is a must.
    - Phillips and flat head screwdrivers from the second handle were installed at the top of this handle
    - Wave scissors added and installed in a particular position (see photos below) over the bottle/can opener for correct fit
    - After extensive play with different sized washers and spacers (all sourced from Wingman's second handle) I ended up with this combo.
    - All button screw heads flattened. As much as I like button heads their prominent bulge was a little out of place for me personally on this tool, they are much bigger than the ones on Wave/Charge/Surge.

That is simply awe inspiring. I'm floored by the simplicity and elegant utility of that mod.

    Verry Nice Indeed! :inlove:
It even has a great traditional serpentine jack look with the wavy handle- Cool!

I've done this concept with ST300, Surge, and Rebar handles with left over parts in the past, but it never turned out that good.... If the Wingman(with bit driver mod) hadn't become my favorite carry tool, I'd be really tempted to do this right now!

I EDC a Leatherman Charge TTi and dont think I could ever go without carrying a multitool again.
I have a Wingman also that doesnt really see any use, I think I may have to do this just for the heck of it!

    Thanks guys :)

MTFatboy - pocket clip is an integral part of Wingman, it comes with it. A really nice cherry on the top, so to speak.

Umm... wow! I wish Leatherman made something like that. I'm not really into modding and don't think I would be comfortable doing all that, but it looks awesome. It's basically a SAK, but made by Leatherman.

I'm seriously considering spending the $40 to make one of these now, only thing is I don't want to buy the other LM for the scissors

Thanks guys, for me personally this was an instant hit as ever since I made this little MT-folder it's been in my pocket trousers at home and around the home.
