It's a "made better by JK." I made it at his knife class this past weekend. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I Buy and Sell knives so I always have quite a few around, but part of my personal collection I have includes the following: I love old USA made knives, Schrade, Camillus, Marbles, Western and more. Like knives of the 70's - 80's especially. A description of these knives and some of the history behind them is on my website. I sell knives as well so if I violate any rules by linking the history of these knives to my site where they could also be purchased, I apologize. I love the art form of knives and spend considerable time to research the knives. I specialize in working knives to be carried, used and cherished. Seal Pup is the smaller version of the Seal Team knives. A made in Seki, Japan model and the Taiwan model. I like them both.
I have always liked the seal pup as a good multi-use or all around knife. Not to0expensive and built to last. Have quite a few SOG knives myself.
@onehikes: That Camillus Air Force Survival knife looks familiar. I believe I have/had one back in the 70's; might still have it buried in a box somewhere...! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
So I posted this Buck Compadre I while back when it was an incoming knife. At this point, I feel like I have to share. This really is the most functional knife I have ever owned. Hand feel, blade strength, blade and handle shape, sharpness, all great. The red coating is fine, and seems to be wearing ok and is protecting the blade, per its purpose. This is some random summer use and 8 total days/nights of backwoods camping. Food prep, campsite clearing, wood harvesting (I carry a small folding saw and this knife), etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got it on eBay from eBay seller knifemaker1932. It's a no name, no brand knife. I just searched damascus fixed blades and it was one of the options. I paid $8 USD for it.
