This was a left-over from my USAF career... came a day when the PTBs decided we no longer needed survival kits on AWACS aircraft, so we maintenance folks pulled them and divied up the stuff before it could go to salvage.

Thank you kindly, I like it.

Although, I really don't carry it as much as I should...

Actually, this is the 1311. They almost look the same if you don't see them side by side. It's a wicked chopper for sure due to the front heavy design of the blade.

I've had many many Jungli, plural of Junglas I guess, and they are just awesome blades.

Wow great sheaths! I'll have to steal the concept for my khukri!

I have a question tho - the paracord length on the khukri's sheath is intended for what? So you can wear it cross-body or over your shoulder?

Thanks! Yep. And I can just move the strap to whichever knife I want to carry, although I do have a couple different slings made. A thicker sling is of course more comfortable depending on how heavy the blade is, but that one actually works pretty well as is. I guess it is known as "Baldric" carry or something similar to it. Sling the thing across your body I call it. They also hang pretty good at your back so it's easy to just toss it out of the way or take it off completely, wear it over heavy clothing, etc.

Any thoughts on the Boker Magnum Forest Eff, or the Boker Plus Fitz, with stag handle? I'm looking for a good intro fixed, and I'm quite attracted to these.

A camera that lets you control the focus gives you a little freedom that you don't get with point and shoot and that's how that picture happened (or at least that's how the focus happened). Morning and evening sun = FTW. I also like cloudy days. And Photoshop always helps. All the Ps tricks I know are pretty common techniques, with many tutorials out there on the interwebs.
