I'm remaking this cleaver, the handle won't stay, I'm planning on making some micarta for it. I haven't put any thought about how to carry it yet. Any suggestions? .

We ALWAYS wore gloves when hunting both to protect from the hogs but also the dogs. They'd get pretty excited sometimes. It was made by a Japanese friend on the Big Island in Hilo who passed away in 2006. Cy Nakamura was his name. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
For me the scout carry is reserved for a much smaller knife and even that gets hung up on things occasionally. Hung vertically is preferred for this I think. I think leather but kydex has its advantages. .
