I've got a couple of Exotac's, they've been all their advertised to be. Uses standard Ronsonol, Naptha, or Coleman Fuel. Filled-up about three months ago, and still good to go!

I can't remember his name - he's on Instagram. I'll see if I can track it down but I deleted my account there so may be difficult. The titanium case has a lot going for it. It's about 5 times the thickness of an armored zippo so it weighs a lot and is indestructible. Also, I only need to fill my zippo about once every 6-7 weeks as it closes tightly and less vapor leaks out. Down side is it was expensive (about US$300). I notice it has "RAIZER" stamped on the bottom.

I have many lighters . For years I carried bics a couple years ago I switched to clipper lighters. Yesterday as I was getting ready for the Christmas eve candlelight service I on a whim grabbed a couple extra bics none of the candle lighters worked . Ended up that I was the only one in the building with lighters

Anyone have any insightful input on the Plasma Arc style lighters....for emergency/EDC use for non-smoker.
(Holiday shopping ideas are being cultivated already)

TIA if you have anything to offer about these.

I got one of the cheaper double arc lighters awhile back. Over all for EDC I wasn't impressed and have since swapped back to a zippo. The arc lighter works but you end up draining the battery trying to get something to light on fire. The only thing it really has going for it is being able to recharge it vs having to have lighter fluid.
They light a cigarette easily but you step up to a cigar and it takes a bit to get get one lit. You have to keep lighting one edge and then rolling it to light another to get it lit evenly. Just about impossible to light a brush pile with one.

Some people can't light a fire with gas and a lit match I guess
