At least on weekends, I've always got a Ronson Jetlite in my pocket. Weekdays there isn't much opportunity to burn a cigar, but on weekends it'll happen a couple times. These Jetlites are amazing lighters for $5 - $6. I've had a couple lighters that were $30+, but the Jetlites just keep going and going. I've got them in my truck, my backpack, my BOB, my fishing pack... Great performance and they don't lose fuel like a Zippo. Plus they're fairly wind resistant.

So far, I've been able to find five finishes at my local stores (mostly Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS). The one in the center is a very odd duck - it's a brushed stainless finish. The bottom configuration and text is also very different from the others - enough where I wonder if it's not a knockoff. But it works just like the rest. All of them have had the child safety spring mod done, as well as a couple with the flame adjuster mod. These two mods make a great lighter even better.

For a general purpose torch lighter (hot blue flame), I think you're hard pressed to beat these. Great for paracord melting, shrink tubing, and lighting your tobacco products if you're into it. They're slightly slimmer than a Zippo, but still have an incredibly satisfying "clack" opening and closing the lid. The case is all metal (tank is plastic), and feel like a much more expensive lighter.

Also, the lighters apparently have a decent copper coat under the top layer - the ones I've seen with a couple years of pocket carry take on an amazing beat-to-crap look.

I can't figure out why people still buy the Bics when these are 3' away in the checkout line...

May the top could still be used it has interesting look. Or for some real entertainment send it back to zippo and say "I'm not sure what happened". I'd guess they replace it for free

The Imcos are solid but not that rocksolid as a zippo, more fine parts and some sharp edges. But ones a german writer said "You feel like a special contract killer when you disassembly you Imco ligher, with all that mechanical parts.Currently the Triplex models are well sought and became expensive.

Now that IMCO is gone the Austrian company, Esbit, of camp stove fame, is making the exact same lighter. Quality is pretty much the same, too.
