The chain is super cool!
Thank you Bowman1911
You need a mandrel, ie a metal tube. start around the 6-9mm size.
The material of choice in wire form.
A decent pair of cutters.
Have a quick search on You Tube, jump ring making
Run out of rings, will have to make some more. Currently stands at 16'/400mm long
I bet that took some time. It looks fantastic!
Yeah, quite time cosuming. The 2mm thick rings are tough to get joined nice and smooth, lots of fiddling!
Antiqued copper full persian grissly
Well, Thanks to BFG, I've been playing with copper wire. I made some jump rings with scrap, no pics though, But I did get a pic of this bead. It was my first attempt, and I did a little science experimentation with it, and some miracle gro. The verdigris isn't as hearty as the white vinegar & non-iodized sea salt method, but I do like the colors I got from the miracle gro. This one's a gift for a friend at work. It came out ok for a first attempt.
That bright teal just can't be obtained with salt & vinegar.
Nice work right there
2 ft long (600mm) Wallet chain, 1/2" thick with 1/2" dia rings. Antique finish.
How ya like the chapstick sleeve bro?
Have gun, Will travel.
Bowman1911, just got it today in the mail. It was a pain in the to get the Burts Bee tube in the Copper sleeve, so much so I used a hammer. It's heavy which I like as I am always loosing my lip balm. Also, the finish is my style. I just wish I could get a Ti one.
