Sadly there isn't a lot of brass gear these days :( And when I find some, it's not cheap.. I'd love to own a bare brass watch!

Me too Gilatabar... I grew up around sailboats Andy love brass. It is definetly the bastard stepchild vs. Ti, SS and Copper. W/ that stated Brass is killer IMO.

I used to take machining classes, so I worked with aluminium and brass a lot, I really miss all this! What I really like about brass is the color, and the weight! That's why we did the balance wheel of this motor in brass :

Made this a few weeks ago. I had the insert from a Tec Accessories that I swapped out for a tritium insert. I'll more then likely replace the GITD insert with tritium since it seams to be separating.

Which flashlight is this? Does it use 123's?

Can anyone recommend a good quality, cr123 or AAA battery light?
    Thanks!

CausticCrow, it's a Mac's Custom Tri-EDC. He is a custom builder whom is no longer in the business. Also, his lights are in high demand as his build quality is exceptional. With that said he is a bad man and a total crook. He has taken money from many hard working people and never delivered their lights. I hate thiefs, hence why I have sold all 3 of my Mac's Customs lights.

Well that's enough to look elsewhere.
    Thanks for the quick reply.
Can you recommend any brass flashlights? I'm looking for any battery size at this point.

CausticCrow, check out Peak Solutions. The Eiger is a great torch. It is custom, USA made, priced reasonably and killer bright. Also Promethoius offers the Beta QR in Brass and that is a great torch as well. Lastly, check out Sinners TRI-EDC. It is a larger light than the previous two I mentioned. I'm hearing good things about Sinners work.
DaKine234 is a great guy whom might be able to point you in the right direction for a killer brass torch.
    Good luck...

I agree with Puinsai's Peak recommendation, CausticCrow , for production brass flashlights.

If you are interested in custom work, might check with sunny_nites and/or calipsoii (both at CPF), who have been recently making some customs in brass :)
