But you will tell anyone who suspects me of being an enabler, that I did everything humanly possible to talk you out of it, right? :giggle:

Well, I need more ti like I need another hole in my head, but I just pulled the trigger on the tag tool! It's got my initials on it, & an o2 wrench. Every thing I've been lookin' for.

Watch out as theres something about this metal and EDC....
I started with some Ti clips and rings bought at auction, an auctioned Ti capsule and a small Ti flashlight I got used.

It is the ti survival Exo runt lighter.
    I like it.
I use it as a lighter but you can easely remove the lighter insert and use it as a Pille fob.
It's now 3 Months Old and i have refilled it once and it still makes Fire but i use it only 2-4 Times a Week

I used this picture in the lighters thread as well, but it's the Ti I carry daily:

Especially the lighter is a favorite of mine and I'm particular proud of the titanium notebook I made myself 5 years ago orso.

Start with a cad drawing of what you want, then get a titanium sheet, special drills aNd start drilling. Come after several hours of painful disappointing failure to the conclusion that titanium is a b|+€£ to work with and ask a friend with a laser cutting shop to make it. Then find titanium wire on amazon, find a highly specialized factory for making springs, nag them to no end until they want to do a special one off. They come to the conclusion titanium is a b|+£ to work with. Order a different alloy of titanium and let them try again. Then put everything together and hey presto, a unique titanium notebook!
    Lol.
It was really expensive to make, but it's particular tough and resistant to (salt!) water and every situation I've come across sofar

Edit: ever since I got a Panasonic toughbook laptop I've been using my Ti notebook less. But a Ti notebook is hard to beat when you sit in a folding kayak, get bumped all over the place in a rhib etc. And I can easily print my own forms, perforate them and add them to my notebook. Afterwards you can easily get them out, scan them and have a digital PDF/copy of all your notes.

Wow, sounds like a long and tiresome task lol, if you don't mind me asking about how much did it cost all together to make and is the back cover Ti as well?

Yes, back is titanium as well, I had two made, sold one for $450 iirc and that wasn't enough to cover half the cost.
I know now more and could do it cheaper especial if I had more made at the same time, but the problem is that titanium is expensive and really hard to work with.

Well if you find a way to bring the price closer to $200-$400 I'm sure you could hit a huge market (so long as it's easy enough to change and get paper refills) that is a super cool thing to bring out in class or a meeting.
