I don't think Ti is so good for a spinning top where you want a very dense material. I bet copper, gold or even lead would spin way longer then the much lighter Ti. But of course an anodized top could look awesome
All Ti except the black Preon body tube, Python clip and M4 Air blade. The D25A in Ti and Air knife have been in my pocket almost everyday since I got them:
Absolutely! The knife is pretty much a shelf queen for me, though. (And, unlike Ueli, I ain't a mountain climber.)
Thanks. They have some nice mods. How do you like your rambler so far and how much did it cost? I see they have a roughly 1000% price increase of their moded SAK's over the originals. Is it worth it? Do they just swipe the plastic scales with the titanium ones?
The titanium rambler is my most favorite SAK (I am a titanium geek). I bought that for $120 from him directly. Mine seemed to be made from red Alox rambler. I want an ALM's titanium pioneer X one day.
Couldn't find a solo pic of them, but the first 4 from the left in the front row are Ti. Actually, I'm just going to round up all my stuff and do a big group pic....don't want to flood post....
Sooo im looking for a review on a piece of gear, and since this is the place where all the titanium experts seem to live i figured i might as well try to ask here if anyone can point me in the right direction. This thing; Its a titanium handle that holds x-acto /art/olfa blades and its available in like 5 or 6 different sizes for different types of disposable blades (the larger ones even have tritium slots). Does anyone here own one of these or does someone happen to have a half a decent review on these? They look promising but coming from china at a hefty price im a bit hesitant to dive in blind and just get one of these.
Oooh I hate you so much rigth now! I thought i had all the pieces i wanted of the replaceable blade knives. Steel olfa's standard and craft, RUT, TUKK, foldable scalpels and even a creamic pen cutter. The replaceable blades to go with them... and then you show me this? Well let me tell you, i have never seen one before, but it seems i do need one in my life...dangit... Looks likes it uses CKB2 Olfa craft blades btw
Well.... you're gonna hate me a whole lot more... check this out; They sell tiny ones; they sell massive ones; they also make em more curvy; With tritium locators; and if you dont like titanium they have bronze; There's so many of em! However im fully incapable of finding even a single decent review on these things, and they don't come cheap (tiny one is 50 bucks, the larger ones go up from there into Rexford RUT price-ranges ). I'd just like to know if these are any good or not.
