http://imgur.com/a/zVBzY Just got this yesterday in a trade I'm in love with it! But sadly, I think I may have to sell it, I'm in need of some cash.
If it doesnt move and should use a hammer if it moves but shouldn use ducttape if it squeaks use WD40 Use your hammer...
I gotta say, before I got to EDCF when I heard the name Strider I thought of a Ranger in the Lord of The Rings.... Now, I can't help but drool over this display of (very classy) knife ... I never had a "grail" knife but I'm rapidly closing in on about 3 that would qualify... Keep 'em coming!
I had no idea that the WP's were so hard to get. I checked all of Strider's listed dealers and only two had WP's in stock. Monkey's Edge had Straight Points, but they looked a little too aggressive for carry, not to mention very little belly. Blue Line Gear had one Tanto and One striped Tapered Drop Point which is what I wanted and ordered. When I got it, it was not the Drop Point at all, but the model just called "The Tapered". Very like a clip point but with the flat full thickness portion of the blade extended almost to the point and much larger than the standard Clipped Point. I'm satisfied with it so far, though it's pretty dull. I just don't understand why Strider Dealers don't seem to know which model is which. Once you have pictures, it's not all that hard to tell them apart. Oh, well, it's off to the Sharpmaker we go.
I like it. The way it looks, the feel in hand, and with the honeycomb pattern I don't think it is going to show any scratches. I also like that it is very secure in my pocket. Could do some future damage to my pants but that does not bother me. Chief concern for me is loosing a knife when I am out in the back country or in the water. I am confident that this blade will stay in its place until needed.
SMF changed the tire for me. He was all like "Bro just go inside and have a soda, I'll come get you in like 20 minutes". Sweet.
