My first custom knife arrived today! An original friction folder creation by Keone Omega of TimberGhost Custom Knives out of Washington. The fixed blade was an added gift with my order. Mr. Omega has named this creation as the: TG Primal. Edited because I forgot to post a pic of the cool file work Keone did.
Well, Hellooooooo beautiful! That is one incredible looking frikkie. Congrats on getting these two knives. Looks like your trip down custom lane is off to a great start....
Thank you kindly my friend! I am soooooooo pleased with how this project turned out. The custom gear bug has definitely bitten me now real good!
That's really one-off, my friend. Impressed, not an expert but never saw such a blade shape. Wish to say absolutely "out of the ordinary". That is imho more than the abused extraordinary. That little "harpoon" (that's my own definition, i beg your pardon) could make happy more than a man... one is me. I'm happy for you, friend. Nick
Thank you Nick. Kind words as usual my friend. The blade shape on the fricky was one of just a few pieces of input from me. I wanted an unusual blade shape for a FF and described something I had in mind. Keone took that to well beyond the next level IMHO. Really happy with it. I really like the "harpoon" fixed blade too. I probably won't carry it as a neck knife though. I may end up getting a custom combo sheath for them both made. Not sure yet.
I'm so jealous of your Warren Thomas stuff. I almost pulled the trigger on a Thumbtack(on ebay) a few weeks ago. Every time I see one I wish I had gotten it!!!
I actually carry the Thumb Tack on trips. It's small enough it hides in my checked baggage and large enough and sharp enough to function as an EDC. Not a replacement for a larger folder or fixed blade but not bad.
I bet it's light enough to forget about... I'd probably stroll right on through TSA checkpoints with it on!
Not recommended! Been there, done that. A small folder clipped to my pocket. I'd forgotten it was there.
