What's the knife middle row, right of the Leatherman left of the spyderco? Nice collection, lot'sa beautiful pieces of steel in this thread.
His work is pure unadulterated gear . I can think of a lot of great makers out there but to me Serge combines art and tools like no other.....That CF dogtag! ! ! Edit: !
Thank you sir! Edit: found a review, I liked the traditional meets modern look (I'm lookig for a Xmas gift for my father-in-law) but on whatever I get I'll be doing wood scales and it looks like the single liner and special pilot tool required will rule this one out. Still a nice knife and if money permits I'll pick one up but I was hoping it would be what I needed.
Ah, good eye! That's the little known and even more rarely seen collab between Gerber and Ginsu, the 6541848354-a-z. I bought it in a moment of weakness watching infomercials while a little tipsy (nah, I was drunk, who am I kidding). It's supposed to never need sharpening, but what they meant was it's not possible to sharpen. You can put a good tip on it, but no edge. It came sharp as out of the clamshell packaging, but after slicing through ten phone books, I rolled the edge and it's never been the same. I don't carry it anymore, I'm hoping to unload it on ebay when it becomes more scarce.
^- Edited because even though this made me laugh, it turns out I have a very serious question. Will it still cut through a ripe tomato with ease?
Well, it depends on your definition of "with ease". If you toss said tomato in the air and give it your best hack like the Belushi samurai from SNL, then yeah. Don't even get me started on that one, found it at a yard sale. Didn't have any distinguishing marks on the blade or handle. Loved the blade geometry, got it scary sharp, but then found out its .000001119" too long to carry in my state, so I turned it in to the local police station.
If I order with my credit card in the next hour do I get the Gerber/Ginsu tactical vegetable peeler absolutely free? (With separate shipping and handling fees of course)
