Damagrip. This pattern's called Desert Raindrop.
It's a form of canvas micarta sold by an on line knife supply company.

First impressions are very good! One thing I did tweak was the liner lock. It was sticking, didn't engage well and was hard to disengage. So I took it apart and ground the blade section down just a hair and bam thing is perfect now.:) Donut blade? The thumb hole? I absolutely love it. After getting the Mcusta Tactility with a thumb hole I want every blade I own to have it.:D

I didn't realize you were quoting him. I thought you were saying that. It took me rereading it just now to figure it out:)

One of the coolest things about that knife is the story of how it came to be. On bladeforums there is a member named PropThePolecat and he had the idea to combine the blade from a Becker BK-11 with the handle of an ESEE Izula. He actually fabricated one and put up pictures. Somehow it got around to both knife companies (Ka-Bar/Becker and ESEE) and they both liked it so much that they decided to make it into a production knife, I am pretty sure they did so with PropThePolecat's permission as he posted pictures of a cool care package full of knives and gear sent to him from Ethan Becker himself.

If you get a chance to handle a BK-14 you'll notice on one side of the ricasso is the Becker Knife & Tool stamp and on the other is the ESEE Adventure Training stamp. Cool stuff!
