Check out my above post, #255.
Your son is great!
Missed that Did Sal say anything about making stronger backsprings for the FRN line? I have a blue leaf shaped one and feel the backspring is a bit too weak.
Not that I recall. My G10 backsprings are super strong. The CF UKPK is just right.
Picked these Grip scales up from Allen Putman, CNC machined aluminum, fantastic quality.
Cleaned the paint off the scabby clip on the wirewheel and scratched in a faux brushed finish with some coarse scotch-brite (I'm assuming it's stainless, if not I'll have an excuse to source a low-ride clip when it rusts ).
edited: I had messed up Allen's first name in the original post...
A little quiet in here tonight, so...
Best opening action on any flipper I've seen yet...

Does he have a site? Where did you get these? They look awesome!
They did make a change to the spring. It was altered to what's been referred to as a forked spring and was meant to increase the strength/resistance. I suspect this model line did not sell in large enough numbers to get a lot of examples with the altered spring, and the newer BD1 steel, into the hands of customers, collectors excepted.
