Hatchet, I like your style! That's a way cool tanto there. And that Ranger is smoking!! , wish I had a camera with macro lens It's coming, though
Thanks Buffalohump for the compliment. The camera used in that photo is nothing special. It's a Canon 2.0 mp I bought probably 4 years ago. It does have a type of "macro" feature but it is nothing extraordinary. I shoot most of my stuff in the morning outside on my deck when the lighting is less harsh. Then I shoot lots of frames to up the percentage of a good pic. That's a cool thing about digital, no film to waste and using rechargeable AA's. I also use a Panasonic Lumix which I picked up a few months ago. Real sweet camera but my old one is my beater that I take fishing and such. hatchet-
I have a Nikon FM3 that's an awesome camera. Old style fully manual, takes great pics. But the lenses for them are so brutally expensive out here I haven't extended it beyond the 50mm that I got with the body. So we are now working towards our first digi cam. I will probably go with a Sony, because I like the fact they come with a Zeiss lens, and I've always had good results from Sony products. You can't beat the Japs for cameras IMO... Hey, if you like tactical type knives, check out the new folder that a company called Texas Tactical Supply is making. How cool is this..?!!! www.texastacticalsupply.com/product.asp?specific=jpjnkoi8
Very nice! I want to get a Mini-Skirmish and a Skirmish one of these days. Other items just keep jumping ahead of these in line, though. One of these days... ;D
Here's a few comparison pics of some Spydies! Left-to-Right: Native UKPK Mini-Manix Manix Paramilitary Military Chinook II
Here are the knives I've been recently using and abusing (mostly the kabar as you can tell). I thought I was the only one that the Chinook talked to :idiot2: EDIT: Heathah do you clean your G10 with something? They look like they are in great condition!
I just picked this up today. Buck Vanguard-R. It seems that many of you lean towards tactical/combat knives. This is just a plain old hunting knife. It's well made, 420HC steel, 4 1/8" drop point blade, brass pommel and finger guard and a rubberized handle. Nothing too fancy, but it does the job. Kevin B.
Here is most recent additon: It's an SOG Twitch II. Best of my "assisted open" knives to date. I love it! Dan
