USed to be my EDC. A Beagle with papermicarta slabs...
Ok these have all done edc carry at some time in the last 14 years.
Top row left to right Sharade old timer 96ot ( my one year old boy has one packed in grease for his 18th and if he is mean to his mother I’ll put it on ebay)
Spyderco Endura ( sharp eyes might pick it is half an inch shorter than production models). Gerber LST. Buck Solitare, Cross lock ( why did they stop making these?) and 110.
Second row Two Saks the second one is Trailmaster one hand open, My work knife. The Al Mar ultralite, pair of Cold Steel Gunsites models one and two, cheap little Sharade. Boker slipjoint single blade. And a Gerber Evo.
Of course this doesn’t include multi-tools,
Next on my list is the SOG flash. Soon baby soon
On the Sharade old timer 96ot I under stand they were made for the Ausssie market by request, They had a pair of tweezers and a tooth pick in the scales “a La” Sak. Were they available world wide anybody know?
P.S. sorry about pic quality I'll try for a better shot in daylight.
Not sure if they were sold world wide or not, or even in the U.S. as I do not recall them specifically up for sale in a store. However, I have seen them carried, for sale second hand, and on Ebay in the U.S. so if they were not sold here they filtered their way here.
Actually, now that I think about it, I believe I have seen them for sake in the Smokey Mountain KNife Works catalog, so I beleive they were sold in the U.S.
Just one in the collection... a Spyderco Rescue 93mm.
I've considered other things, but I keep going back to this one for the shape.
A benchmade 812 might fit similarly, but IIRC it's larger.
Here's mine... ;D
Please, I'm beggin' ya - tell me what you came by that Benchmade tanto.
Dang, I think I'm in lurve...
It would go so nicely with my Ltd Ed D2 spearpoint.
here's a few of mine....... ;D first the neckers.....
and here's a few bark river's..... just a few....
I bought that Tanto Balisong over 20 years ago before Benchmade aquired the Butterfly logo. I have since lost the original box and scabbard. Little did I know back then that it would be desireable. It's a 1985 Pacific Cutlery International Series.
Here's a closer look at the logo with a Seiko I bought back around '75.
Glad you liked the photo.
Sweet, Uncle Zungle. I always have wanted a dbl action OTF.
I shoulda known it would be something like that... I had a quick look around and there is a tanto out now - the 47MC - but its not as elegantly simple as yours. Do you remember the Benchmade Tsunami from the 80s? That was also a cool tanto. I sold mine, like an idiot
me too. I once bought that cheapy one from PVK for like forty bucks. it was boatloads of fun to carry for a few days until one of the little plastic bits censored: plastic?!) in the release linkage broke on me. The site's owner took it back no questions asked explaining there's a ton of moving parts in an d/a otf and ever since then i've been dreaming of a nice microtech. you totally get what you pay for.
Heres my UT surrounded by a seriously fun Tangle toy.
MT is the only way to go for an OTF.
I LOVE tangles! I have a decent collection going on my desk.
The Tangle could be described as an EDC toy couldn't it??
yes, because there are keychain varieties.
Not sure what's up but I can't see your pix nor your avatar from post #34 down.
Some sweet bladeware folks. Nice to drool over my keyboard. Steve
