Here are two of my latest additions to my growing collection. I have more, but no pics yet. This is my new Douk Douk French Knife and my Patriot Desert Ironwood. I hope you like them! Thanks!
Is that a Real Steel knife? If so what model is it and how does it hold up quality wise? Thanks in advance!
It's the Real Steel H6-S1. Bladesteel: Sandvik 14C28N Blade length: 86mm / 3,39" Blade thickness: 3mm / 0,12" Overall length: 197mm / 7,75" Weight: approx. 110g / 3,88oz The craftmansship is IMO really good. The blade is centered and it flicks open really smooth. It wasn't that sharp. So i had to touch it up a bit. Now it pops hair right off. The frame-lock is really nice too and i like the Beta-lock. With the Beta-lock you can lock the frame-lock, so it won't let the knife close no matter what you're doing with it. I can't speak about the long-term quality because i don't have it that long. Maybe i one week or so i can get you some further information.
Made my first trip to the Knife Expo Convention in Pasadena, CA today. Got a chance to talk to Ray Laconico, Tom Mayo, and picked up this beautiful piece directly from Michael Vagnino...my first piece from him.
