The Chinook is actually so good that it was the last one hand opening locking knife that I bought. 1,5 years ago...
And I don't think that this will change soon.

It's perfect. Feeling, size, weight, lock, handle material, clip, construction, optics, beautiful back, smoothness of opening and closing, finger save design and so on...

But most importantly, it has the the only aspect (of course just relating to my personal preferences) which makes a folder superior to a fixed blade: The option to use it without the blade being deployed. Feels like it was custom build to fit my hand.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I agree. A person should like what they carry, and carry what they like.

I'm not familiar with the Pohl knife. Is it a slip joint?

It is indeed! Large and heavy slip joint with a strong spring. Needs two hands to operate. It has a half stop and opens with a very satisfying sound. Sounds like a locking knife to me.
They recently stopped the production of those, so if you want to get one, you better be fast. They were made with black, green and orange G10 scales and in full titanium (limited edition).

Thanks. I usually don't carry blades of this size... I'm in an urban/suburban setting. Longest blade I have is a Spyderco Endura; most of mine are 3 1/2" or smaller.

Been working on this BK9 for a while now. The next step is a custom sheath. What are your thoughts?

You are missing Strider to complete the trifecta.
