I have returned to ZT. The 804 is my latest acquisition and so far I'm smitten...so much so I will be selling my Crooked River. I think the CR is by far the best looking of all my knives and it is definitely the most fun to play with, however all of my other knives feel better in my hand. That's not to say the CR is uncomfortable, it just doesn't doesn't melt into my hand the way my Diskin Hunter, knockout or 804cf does. I also have a dragonfly 2 in zdp-189 that feels more ergonomic.

I was carrying the CR in my strong side cargo pocket and the knockout on my support side since its assisted. I can count the times I actually used the cr on duty on one hand. Partially because of how nice it is, but mostly the knockout just fit my hand better. It's a seriously underrated little knife. Bob knows I've beat the ever living (insert expletive here) out of it and it just keeps on trucking. Same with the Diskin, I've actually been practicing throwing it just for kicks.

As for my latest acquisition...I'm questioning why I ever left ZT. I've owned in order, 0350, 0566bw 0562cf and now the 804cf. In my personal opinion the 804 is the best folder I've ever had/used/held. It is deceptively light without feeling cheap, flips like a dream and fits my hand like a glove. However, I am not giving up on Benchmade! I worked a lot of overtime last pay period and decided to splurge on not just the 804, but an Adamas 375 as well. The CR will be finding a new home and I'll have an ebony and ivory folder fixed blade combo depending on how I'm feeling that day.

Basically the Diskin is my truck knife/beater, the knockout is my work knife/beater, the 804 is my fondle and occasionally use knife and the Adamas will be my "tactical" get ish done kind of knife. The dragonfly lives in my 5.11 bag in the unlikely event I ever don't have another blade on me. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Current collection. A mix of cheap chinese (Enlan, Sanrenmu), Swiss Army Knives, Multitools and other bits I took a fancy to.

I live in the UK, with pretty draconian knife laws, so I tend to carry a SAK, or the CRKT Liong Mah. I don't really carry the Spydercos much- I'd hate to lose them (expensive here).

Do you have more pics of that slipjoint knife under the Opinel?

[IMG]Rough Riders Doctor's knife by Hywel Cross, on Flickr

It's a Rough Riders Doctor's knife. I tend to carry it when I'm wearing a suit. I think you can still get them online. Not very expensive; steel isn't great but it sharpens nicely enough.

The knife above the opinel is also a RR. It's the elephants toenail. It got me started with pocket knives.

Yes, I know RR knives. I've gifted a Dogbone Jack to my nephew when he was 12.
It's the good one with a bone as a shield and a dog whistle on a leather band.
The whistle was removed the knife never used, maybe I should have taken it with me.
The clip sheath is pretty good even though it's a John Henry copy ;)

Shipping costs to Europe are holding me back from buying more Rough Riders.
When shipping is 50% of the item's price it's getting ridiculous.
Too bad I can't order them from China right away with free shipping ;)

P.S. Can you guys tell me if Photobucket pics are visible again or if I can cancel it altogether?

It's the keychain version. Really thin slicing blade. Haven't tried to sharpen it yet; probably awful steel.

I really like my Milwaukees. So easy to open and close with one hand.

I put a patina on a couple of blades and just strop them.
