    You guys have some really amazing oranges EDC items.

    I really like orange especially as an accent point on a dark colored item. Being really new to EDC I don't have much in orange, just my fields notes and my pen. But the pen is all black save for a small orange collar.

    Just a couple of items ... notebook, flashlight with orange clickie, firestarter rod, canister which contains lip balm, emergency whistle and mini knife. All practical. Color is a coincidence but I do like anodized orange.

    Oh I really like that mini knife and canister. What canister is it?

    I posted the following on another thread. Hope it helps. 25mm (1in) blade with molle compatable sheath. Fixed to my Rush 12.

    Purchased from evilBay via China. Search "EDC mini knife" they are only a couple of dollars including postage. I bought a bunch of them. They are full tang, stainless steel, with a either two straight edges or one straight edge and one serrated (see previous photo). The finished sharpened edge is not machined well but 5 minutes reshaping with a knife sharpening kit will fix that.

    The canisters are generic branded EDC Gear and bought on evilBay for US$6 each. The quality is excellent. The image of the "red" canister below is actually the orange canister in the photo above. Outdoor lighting makes the shade difference.

    Got a supercute tiny little FM radio in today;

    Eneloop and bigtac box for scale. Reception is surprisingly good given the size and price! Very neat little unit and if it lasts anywhere near half a decent time on a set of batteries ill buy a couple more.

    Spring has sprung downunder in Australia and I am now preparing for my annual 3 day bushwalk around Wilson's Prom, the most southern point of mainland Australia. Noticed a color popping up amongst my gear so I thought of this topic. Gear: Kathmandu Llama canvas ripstop hiking pack (15 years old), Ground Effect Flash Gordon hydrofoil rain jacket (for mountain biking but also good for light showers), Lumintop Prince copper flashlight and Lumintop Worm flashlight, whistle, two cannisters for lip balm and Advil, book, and Spyderco knife.

    Is that true? Can no one else see the pic of my orange Hinderer above?

    Much better! I am trying to decide on a bead myself for an orange knife so I don't have any suggestions but i'm interested in seeing what you come up with!

    Because of the bronze highlights in the grooves of the pivot and flipper I tried this:

    but decided on this:

    I figured this plain ti bead matched the jimping and standoffs the best.

    Thanks for the tip. I think it's time to move away from Google Photos.
