I dunno. I've looked at this color of G-shock but just couldn't pull the trigger. Every pic I've seen -- not only yours -- this color, compared with the black ones, just seems particularly shiny and more (dare I say it?) plasticky in low-end sort of way. I know that's a personal reaction, but I can't get rid of it... Am I the only one who reacts to this color in the G shock line this way? Sorry. Nothing personal. Except to Casio.... L'chaim! Have to agree with @Moshe ben David on this one...not something I would personally choose, but I'm generally conservative about things like that...room for all.
My Franken-Shock. Wanted the minimalist and monochrome aesthetic of a BB case with the legibility of a standard DW5600 dial. Some swapped internals, a Set of Bull-Bars, and some NATO Adapters later, I have my daily driver Sent via Fax
Non taken. But hey, some of us like pizza and others prefer burger. There is no wrong answer here. I get what you mean by the "shiny surface". Its a print/coating. And unfortunately, it will wear off. But there are other matte option out there, which are not a layer of coating. it will get dirty, but it won't wear off like coated strap.
@stockae92: thanks for the pics of the other color options. I like them better in that they don't have that gloss that I dislike. Can't say the color hues as they appear in the pics appeal much either. But hey, that's personal taste; and in my case, with my color blindness (I see colors -- just not like 'normal' folk!), it just makes it that much more difficult. I could really go for one that had a true navy blue with some yellow accents. Or better yet, maize and blue. Yup. I'm a Wolverine! Go Blue! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Most recent MRG has been all titanium. This one (kinda recent, but its already 10 yr old) is made out of stainless steel.
I love that G-Shocks come in colors, and still retain their durability and functionality. I am up to around 30 G's, and they would be boring if they were all black.
I love Casio’s in general. Love the G shocks. Just got my first Pro Trek yesterday. Got to say I am liking it. I have a Rangeman 9400 I like a lot but I really like the look and function of this one a lot too. Wears well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
