All of those space age super wallets are sweet and all. But, where do the coin go? At least where I live, you need to carry like three or four coins. Supermarket basket? Coin. Public bathroom? Coin. “Coffee” machine in a public areas? Coin. Soda? Coin. So I always got a 0.5, a 1 and a 2 coin on me. Doesn’t work with those card n cash holders. Therefore I opted for the Nodus Compact Coin. Kind of a snap in coin slot for those in titanium would be a thing on the hard wallets. Rack em up like shotgun shells.

Coin? What's that? :) If I have change left it goes in the tip jar. 90% of the time, I'm not using cash anymore, anyway.

I think your question highlights cultural differences.

In the US, very few people carry change/coin. Coins are more irritating than valuable for some. There are some who don’t even carry cash (paper bills or coin) at all and just rely on credit/debit cards or phone payment methods. Many things, that in the past would require coins, now frequently have dollar and credit card slots so coins aren’t even needed for those.

A good example of how coins aren’t valued or carried by some in the US, is the two German stores that opened near me. They have the coin slots on their carts. One doesn’t even use the coin slots anymore. The other still uses it, but you can almost always find a cart that was not returned, because the person didn’t care enough about getting their coin back to return the cart.

I think the fact that the largest frequently used coin in the US is a quarter is partially responsible for this. As you point out, you have 1/2, 1 and 2 coins. The US has dollar coins, that they had even introduced in a quarter size, but they are not popular or frequently used.

In Canada we have all the usual small coins plus $1 and $2 coins, the easiest method of carry I've found for all the extra is a small bag.[IMG]

I love that knife. My Grandfather who was a WWII vet had one a lot like it in a drawer. I asked him about it and he said he got it in the Philippines.

That's beautiful! Thanks for the share and Bless your Grandfather.

It's a old Erma Solingen Butterfly. Ernst Mandewirth did many razors and knives like this since, if not mistaken the early 1900's.
Looks like a floppy knife but, do not be fooled, it's a sturdy lil teng! She holds an edge :censored: well and never failed me.

    Have a good one, Wanderer.

It's been way too long since I have posted my EDC, so here is an update:

Main Items (clockwise from bottom left):
    1) Massdrop brass flashlight
(brass Lumintop Tool made for Massdrop): similar to Lumintop Tool Ti, but better mode sequence
    2) brass bead with green trit vial (on flashlight): made by a former EDCF Craftsman
    3) Spyderco Caly3: my all-time favorite pocket knife with a Kwik Thumb wave (details here)
    4) Pabin leather wallet: similar to my Bellroy Slim Sleeve that I wore out, but not quite as stylish (link)
    • Fisher X-Mark Bullet Space Pen: carried inside wallet
    5) Ravean faux carbon fiber wallet/clip: terrible as a wallet, but great for carrying business cards (link)
    6) Victorinox Manager with MM Clip and FireFly fire steel: best 58mm SAK (IMO); link to Tortoise Gear Firefly
    7) Keyring:
    • Keybar Ti Hook: one of the best pocket clip hangers out there (IMO)
    • Keyport Slide 2.0: not the latest version, but lightweight and holding RFID chips for two auto keys
    • RFID entry fob on Keyport ParaPull: a noisy, annoying item, but necessary
    • Remote Entry Fob on Cogent Hook-Up Clip: considering a @ThirstyTurtle mod (pic), but I haven't tried yet

    Note Shown:
    iPhone 8:
in black Magpul Field Case, belt carried in Turtleback horizontal holster
Pebble Time watch: link to previous picture

Ain’t that right. So if you don’t have a debit or credit card, you can’t take a decent piss. Noice.

Hey Stinson12 that's a great carry! I love to see someone else with the HEST DPx Original. I have had mine in my KSF Pocket Sheath along with a Peak Eiger AAA light for almost ten years now. Its become my favorite knife by far. I did have to put a new edge on it but its held that edge for a loooong time now. I can't tell from the pic since it cuts off the end whether it is a Onterio Knives(OK) version or not, is it an OK version? I have the OK version and the Woodsman from Lionsteel, I had the Assault from Lionsteel as well but traded it because I wasn't a fan of the g10 scales. Of the three the Original is still my favorite.
Anyway, I would like to know what brand yours is, what you think of it and lastly what sort of sheath you carry it in? Thanks and once again great carry!
