Kimber have always been hit and miss, a bit of a crap shoot. I've had good luck with some, bad luck with others.
Agree with this 100%. Kimber is just riding on their name now. Their QC is so mediocre now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It seems at times like Sig is going the same way. I wonder what they possibly could have in common.... I really should shoot my Springfield RO more. I don't think I internalized the 1500-2000 round break in for a 1911 until it hit 2000 rounds....and in the process had the mainspring and seer replaced because they were wrong from the factory. sent from a device with a keyboard that hates me
Sig is absolutely pitiful at this time, and some of the crap they've been bringing out, is just hilariously shameful. $60 for a magazine ?? That's higher than Hk... Are they made from Unobtainium ?
Ha-ha. I was more thinking about some of the failures I've seen. That and the design of the 238/938. I get that they're popular, and mine was a lot easier to shoot than you'd expect for a 9mm that's that small... But I can't get over the fact that the FP block fails open and that it's easy to disengage the seer with the safety on, together creating a situation where the gun can fire when you disengage the safety. Sig is supposed to be reputable. Series 80 1911s have been out for a while. There's no excuse for that. sent from a device with a keyboard that hates me
Same stuff, just "borrowed" my wife's custom Coke hank for the pic. Transmitted Electronically through Tapatalk
I hear folks say a lot of negative things about 1911 in general. I personally have owned dozens and have only ever had issue with one of them. It was a ruger full size with a faulty extractor. If you understand them and know what you're doing they're great guns. I totally agree with the Kimber quality control issues as of late though and it seems many manufacturers are suffering from the same thing. As for the Colt Bowman1911 moostapha I had the opposite experience. I couldn't shoot mine to save my life (pun intended). I think it comes down to what you're accustomed with and what works best for you. Almost Every gun produced will be more accurate than 99% of us.
They're a funny beast. I gotta say, breaking in my first one has been a hassle. I'm not sure I'll ever trust it as much as the gun that's been >99.99% since the first shot. They're a lot of fun, though. sent from a device with a keyboard that hates me
Lazy Saturday carry with the kids. Really loving the pen light. First non-surefire I've carried consistently in probably 6 years (Ra/HDS Clicky back then).
We got a little sun today but I forgot to snap a pic while it was out. If you would like a better pic or more info, don't hesitate to ask.
