    Fwiw, I'm not.

I've played with too many 1911s to really be impressed by them for the price. But, I don't really love mid-range anything.

If I buy another one, it'll either be half the price for 90% the gun or three times the price for a hand made custom.

Honestly I need to get it and shoot one again. It's been several years, but I remember it being super smooth and during my hand really well. I think it's been in my head so long now that it had turned itself into a grail piece. Not that it is justification, but I think that's why I'm so drawn to one.

Seems like that where that line limits me. Well If you see a pool of Drooooool around me there's a Kimber close.

Like it alot. I keep the headband in my coat, so I will always have it close when I need it and it helps having hands free. More pocket friendly than bigger lights. Also like the AA batteries, so a recharge is always around. :)

Shame I couldn't afford the Ti version of the Investigator pen - they want £196 ($280) for one here in the UK :censored:

I never knew that, all the old ones don't have the hole, I thought it was just a cost/weight saving thing.

moostapha is 100% correct on the Kimber front! Sorry to offend any of ya'll! My wife carries an Ultra Master Carry II, and my recalled Colt New Agent, with gutter sights will outshoot it all day long. However, that new Kimber revolver does look might tempting...

Well to be fair you are correct as well!
Advantages of the holes are numerous really.....
Less clay needed to make them, less weight per brick (especially useful for transporting them), they fire more evenly in the kiln and with the mortar filling the holes makes for a very strong bond for load bearing walls.
