Black Mini-D from Gamble
Are the black and regular mini d's titanium?
was so siked the day i picked this up
Anso design phil_Kelly?
What is that one called?
BalancedEdge, yes, says: "The Stealth Mini is flat black cerakote over Titanium" at gamblemade web site
Thanks, and the Anso looks like a V3. Has a built in pry-bar hidden in his pocket.
its the anso carabiner V.3
hey speaking of danglers, hit me up if you ever wanna do that... sorry i was just looking at that sprint run and drooled a ton.
Here is a very handy soft shackle to hang items from a belt loop, belt or for that matter from anyhwhere. Put the knot in one end through the loop in the other end. You can find instructions to make it at http://edcforums.com/threads/make-cordage-with-a-braiding-disk.124939/#post-2082096
thats awesome idea with lighter. I might have to steal that one!!! Do you recall what life was like before the mini- d? I have yet to look back after getting mine. I am thinking about getting the bigger one
I am liking them. Have 2 Ti, 1 black and 1 copper mini-D
As well as a copper and Ti full-size GearPulls
Getting systems together now...
This black one I'm hanging in a little pocket that is on the left side of the passenger seat in the Xterra
Mostly out of sight, but easily accessible. I can see using the light a lot, the knife occasionally. And the lighter is just nice to have handy
I looked at a lot of Bic 'sheaths' and such and didn't find any real inspired designs. And didn't find ANY for the mini-Bics. Still in search...this works for now
For Bic sleeve search for Exotac FIRESLEEVE.
Mind if I ask what that swivel thing in the middle connecting the dangler and the keyring is? Does it turn in the middle? Might be what I am looking for. Thanks!
I am sure CatsTide will confirm it is a heavy duty ball bearing fishing tackle swivel They do indeed turn in the middle. I purchased mine at a nation wide hunting/fishing supply store but am sure Wally World would have them. Cheers. Tony
What he said^^^ It's a Sampo Swivel.
I've been using this 70mm LeHook on my keychain since I bought it in the 90s. It was black when it was new!
About 2 or 3 years ago I Googled them and found that they were still available as NOS, put them somewhere safe and forgot about them! This thread reminded me. Need to find a use for them now!
I've only found a couple of old references to them on here. Must be time to give them some love! Ingenious lot, the Swiss!
After a forced patina
Using a Maxpedition keyper with some extra attachment points.
Lanyards keeps it less obtrusive and indexed in the pocket
