old pics: Long story short: lid strap broke off a few months after I got it. I cut it off and made a 5-gallon bucket handle fit. I'd redo it but since it still works...
I uh, I seem to get a few new bottles every day And have to empty them out to make sure the product didn't go bad. On a more serious note, don't have a canteen or water bottle just yet. Not sure if I'd carry one around.
I've got an insulated Klean Kanteen that should be arriving tomorrow. I heard a lot of great things about them and am looking forward to using it.
PhotoJoJo has them. Don't waste your money, I got the Nikon one. Too much money for a novelty item. Have to take the lid off to drink.
My usual EDC bottle is the wide-mouth Klean Kanteen and Humangear Capcap seen here (with added Mystery Ranch goodness); 224/366 by yellowhammer_01, on Flickr
A camera store might sell them. These came from eBay. The Nikon mug also telescopes but the volume doesn't increase. The first mug I saw was the Canon pictured and while looking for the best price on eBay I noticed some dissimilarities in the pictures. I did some research and found out that the Canon mug I saw was a promo item given out to the Press at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. The others were Asian knock-offs and you can tell when you compare the pics. Hers's a link to a review of the Canon mug. It's the one you should look for if you want one. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-70-200mm-f-4.0-L-USM-Lens-Mug-Review.aspx
Mine's just an old(er) forest green Camelbak 1 liter. It's all beat up, the bite valve leaks now, and it is dirty at the moment, but I like it a lot. I wish I had picked up two or three back before they changed 'em. I carry it in a Maxped mini Rollypolly on the outside of my EDC bag.
