Those 12 trit beads are so sick.
Before I read your post I thought, "Those look like bean cans." See, nothing much gets past me.
I saw this and i thought of cans that food come in.... random thought i know..

I think it moved,,,,,,,
Work in progress Ti and copper
Work in progress ! I would be ecstatic to call that 100% finished if it were my work. Sir, I have been reading through this forum for awhile now and admiring your craftsmanship. I just love the pieces you make. Absolutely love em!
Thank you Sir
I got some copper last week and this is my first foray into copper beads. The copper ones are going to be etched to soften the surface then possibly a verdigris green in the grooves and liver brown on the rifling and then lightly polish to enhance the edges,,,,,, or maybe make a mess of it and explore different options
The plan for the Ti beads will be heat coloured so that the deep recesses have a blue colour and nearer the surface purple,,,,,,, and then polish out the colour off the outside curves and use a lesser temperature to make them a straw colour ,,, or maybe make a mess and,,,,,
Half of all art is knowing when to stop fiddling with it and to stand back and say "that's it"!
That's it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, for now!!
Looks like delicious beautiful little pieces of metal candy that I could eat right up! Some fine looking beads right there, ah hum!
very nice work, very nice.
I really like the top right bead. The knurled blue one. I like that kind of design and the colours are really subtle but still nice.
EDIT: I removed the image quote as we have it 3 times above and whilst I don't think having it again would hurt I think I will keep the page a little cleaner.
I was trying to make a bead to complement my watch-band,,,,, I'm going to try polishing the surface of the blue bead so the surface contrasts with the blue in the grooves,,,,or maybe stone wash it. Whatever,,, tomorrow's another day
Or you could try all of the above... Not at the same time mind you.
Who knew? BEADS???!
I was going thru the forums and discovered this thread. There are some seriously fine craftsmen that are on the EDC. I'm amazed at the variety and origionality of your works. Exceptional work done by all here.
