Just picked this up (MOAB 6) last week and love it. I’ve been eyeballing it for a while now and decided to pick one up after finding an online deal. I’ve done a few “upgrades” to it. I’ve never been a fan of 5.11 zipper pulls and changed them out with Maxpedition’s branded ones. They have that nice finger molded silicone which makes opening compartments much easier, especially on a brand new bag as the nylon is still pretty stiff and rigid. Inside I changed out the standard pulls as well with red paracord and some custom Siracha zipper pull beads for added flair. In addition, I added shock cord to the outside. My other EDC is a Maxpedition RiftBlade which serves me great but it’s primarily a work bag and it’s a bit too big to haul around every day for short trips and being out and about. Could you provide more info on that Pelican ruck case? Looks like it would make a good choice to store a small IFAK.
I would honestly look at another option. The Ruck series has a few additions compared to a standard Pelican of that size, and BTW the R20 is fairly big. I was going to get the R40 and was shocked at the size, so dropped down to the 20. The Ruck has a removable tray and a “rubber/silicone suspension” insert for cables and such. They both can be moved but once you do that, it sort of defeats the purpose of the Ruck series. REI has them so if you are near one, I would stop by and check one out. For an IFAK, I would just go for a regular small Pelican. For my purposes, I use my Ruck as a power center. It houses a battery charger, cables and a few other similar items. That's what I do. Hot, sunny, windy day is best as some of the inner reaches can take a while to dry.

The Rush delivery was my debut on tactical bags, 3 colours of them in fact - black,sandstorm,camo; they were my "go to" bags like fashion depending on the situation of the day until I had the shoulder problem. Messenger bags were my thing before switching to packs that started with the R12, followed by the AHP as a travel pack and more 511 accessories - the tier straps being my favourite. 511 always comes up with something nice each and all good bang for the money and I've seen them more regularly in the commute from students to men in suites.
I wash my bags in the tub with Dawn. It's a mild soap but removes dirt and oil. My bags come out clean. RUSH 72, RUSH 24, MOAB 10, MOAB 6, QUAD ZIP, COVRT 18, MIRA 2-In-1, and the 2 Banger Bag.
