Looks like you dropped a bag of cheetos on your backpack

:censored:, i never realized how large those side pockets on the 24 were. how easy are they to access if you swing it around on one shoulder like a sling? it seems like it wouldn't be so great since the opening is away from your body.

I sold my 72, was just too big and someone else put it to more frequent use. I utilize my 24 daily during the week. The Moab 10 and Moab 6 on the weekends.[IMG]

I went back to my R24 a couple of werks ago. Added velcro to the inside walls of the pack to put my holster and mag carrier. Unfortunately i do not have pictures of that upgrade right now. But here is my R24 in Black. Also changed out a patch.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

How does your 24 stand up so nicely on it's own. Mine always seems to be flopping over towards the front...

It stood better once I added the Velcro to the inside of the pack, Mine did the same thing. It is because of the back plastic panel in the back pushes it forward. Plus I think at the time I took those pic's the inside main compartment was not loaded fully. Try putting Industrial Velcro on the sides of the pack and it will make it more ridged, plus you can attach more pouches to the inside if your do not want them hanging off the outside. I used 2 strips of 2 x 5 Velcro and it works great.

All I used was the Industrial 2" Velcro from HellMart and a heat gun on low. I do recommend that once you get it in place use a roller or a rubber mallet to get it to lay flat, Then hit it with a heat gun on low for a few minutes. Let it sit for about a 30 minutes to dry and you should be good to go. I thought about having it sewn in but it was going to be to much money and to much of a problem. It does make the sides more ridged. It's strong enough that it holds my M & P Shield and mag holder up with out any problems at all. I'll post a pic of the mod later this evening after I get off work.

Flicked through this entire thread again. For the last few weeks I've been using (and loving my FAST Pack), I'm going to switch back to my RUSH 12 later tonight in honour of 164 pages of 5.11 goodness.

Wow now you mention it... I guess shy of dying it pink with blue and yellow polka dot it will always look tactical....

Had some sort of insane moment over the weekend and decided I needed to try moving all my gear out of my Rush 12 in my MP Jumbo Versipack.
Safe to say it did not really go how I wanted. I carried my Versipack for about 3 years until I got my Rush bags and don't get me wrong it is an awesome bag used for what is for but it really didn't stand up well to carrying lunch edc gear and extra clothes. 1 day and I am back to my Rush 12. I am ever considering starting to carry my 24 as my EDC as I always end up having to carry something else home. Suffice to say I like my MP stuff when used correctly but I am loving my 5.11 gear. Think I need a Black 72 just to complete the set :)

Just curious about sweating. My 5.11 RUSH 12 really causes me to overheat. My Wisport Sparrow (the 20 and the 30) do not have this issue, nor does my FAST pack, or the Osprey Flapjack. Is it just the back panel? And yes, I have been experimenting with this...
