I think the 12 is big enough for my needs, I've managed to last for 5 days out of it, but because it's so packed full of work kit I need something else to carry my clothing. I find the straps much more comfortable than my other bags.

If I got up a size it will be to a 24, with a 72 I would just pack more stuff than I could ever need.

Honestly i think im. Inclined to agree with you there. As i got the 24 for my trip to America last year as my old backpack gave up the ghost a week before i was due to fly out. So i needed something the same size and quickly. Tactree came to mu rescue and then i was the proud owner of a 24. Now i use it for my work but with how little i take for work its too big. I think. So im. Thinking of the 12 to replace it. But i want the 72 as im off to the US again in November and this time im going for 2 weeks so ill need a bigger bag. Or i take my xray duffle but thats too big to habe to lug on and off planes and mess around with at airports

The 12 is a brilliant option for me. I'm just packing it to cover some demonstrations in London tomorrow and I have everything I need in the external pockets (I stash my Macbook in the hydration pouch) and the main pocket is free for my camera and first aid kit (and a spare t-shirt because it's going to be hot tomorrow. I am amazed at how much it will hold.

For a small bag it holds so much.

What I really need for trips away is a 72 and a sling back I can keep inside it so when I get to the destination I can leave the 72 in the hotel but still have a bag to carry round with me.

Have a look at the 5.11 excursion. Its a simple light weight bag but it can be folded up into such an unbelievable size and you can stash it in your normal bag. BUT i would be careful about putting too much into it as on my one it feels like the stitching isnt up to par so everytime i use it i have to hold my breath abd pray it holds

You bet. It's just a canvas bag with a Velcro top and a clip. No elastic. So smaller bottles are loose and taller or fatter bottles don't fit at all.

    Mix and Match....
5.11 Tier System to the rescue!

Hey you need a Rush 30....no problem !
    • Rush Moab 6 + Rush 24

How about a Rush 84.... you got it!
    • Rush 72 + Rush 12

    Rush Moab 6,10 + Rush 12,24,72 +Tier System

The Rush Series + Tier System = Tactical Legos

    RF

Now I will say that it's not something I would advocate for wearing tiered packs around, but for more transporting them in a consolidated manner.

Ha, here's a pic of milspec monkey wearing an example of "Molle Gone Wrong".

Ha! That'll keep you busy for a while. The Tier Strap System ships with the Moab 6 and 10 & sold separately.

    Btw speaking of strap mods...
I recently found this mod by forum member brokedave and his brilliant idea for the Moab 10 strap that is unused and which effectively turns it into a stabilizer strap by adding a 1.5" (female) side release buckle.

This deserves to be reposted here:

Once again, good job brokedave! Very simple and effective. Nice to have the useful option of a built in stabilizer strap on the Moab 10.
    Thanks,
    Rf

Ok that mod looks fantastic!. As for thw MOAB i have never considered these as they are too small to be practical. For me so i have kinda kept away from them.. For my EDC i tend to use my push messenger bag

What i mean to say is. The push pack is just the right size for my EDC (every day crap) and its not too bulky and its cool as it is subtle so it blends in (except to a security guard that scrutinised it a bit too much.. But thats a story for another day)

But the moab is too small for say me to take to work. So the moab to me goes over looked. But i am seeing more and more pictures of the moab series on social media And here and im slowly starting to re think my opinion on them. But it will take a lot to sway me from my trusty push pack
