Haha! Thats what I was thinking!

I would love to know impressions of people who have first hand experience with this model. Looks pretty nice to me.

I have one. Pretty decent pen. My only real gripe about it is the plastic section feels a bit cheap, and doesn't "match" the rest of the pen. It's a Schmidt IPG nib, which is one of the better "generic" nibs that I've stumbled across.

You could easily spend $40 on a crappier pen.

    Thanks or the feedback.
I would probably want to change the nib to a fine at some point. Do you know if a #6 fits?

I *think* so, but I ordered mine as a Fine direct from JetPens.

had AL Sport in my pocket since i got it. it's serving its purpose very well. i'm beginning to enjoy EF nib more and more. after using EF for awhile, the M on my TWSBI feels too thick.

I've never really been into vintage pens. But on Saturday my mom dragged me to an estate sale to bring home a piece of furniture in my truck. I was wondering around and ran upon a box full of pens. Mostly garbage, with some nice art pens and super fine felt tip pens, and something I immediately recognized as a Parker 51. I opened it up and it was completely crusted over with ink.

I asked them how much, they told me (since it was the last day of the sale) that I could have it for a quarter. For a quarter, I couldn't pass that up. Even if I couldn't fix it, or screwed something up, it's twenty-five cents!

it was taken with my HTC One M7. then used picmonkey to adjust few things. all my point and shoot digital cameras are outdated and doesn't do too well. my phone camera does good enough for me for post pix on the web.

took some doing, but got the ink cleaned up. the pen is marked dated 1982 first quarter. and i had ink from that time to. took the nib and feed out, cleaned it. had to clean out the converter too. this pen came with converter.

I've been carrying one of the 580's with a F nib, and the Vac700 with a M nib.

I've fitted the clipless Micarta with a Goulet 1.1mm stub over the EF that came in it.
